12th June 2026 – Council reacts with spite, ignoring latest dog issue. ER, Regarding today's missive, I'm concerned that your proclamation will further increase delays in dealing with issues and enquiries. 1) Of course there are many problems that need attention, but communication between governed and governors can be massively improved, without sizeable investment - as an example, just yesterday I received a message, in response to my own email, regarding an apparent abandoned car (on greenspace next Pedmore Road in The Lye) but it insisted that the reason for reporting the vehicle (a Blue Audi) was: "Solely because the vehicle has no tax"; the current status (with no MOT and no tax and thus can be considered as abandoned) is given in the attachment and was given in my original email. Indeed, after this lunchtime's chat with DCPlus, the very same reason has been copied in the latest update! Given the nation is obviously 'broken' and also at war, effectively, with Russia, isn't communication one area that can be readily, inexpensively and urgently improved? 2) I must reject the suggestion I needlessly contact the Council - I have better things to do! That my approach is "vexatious", I must also reject; over the years, my 'baggage' has grown to include many enemies, but most are likely not within this authority - indeed the individual that has caused the greatest grief, one Tracey Rowe, has left the employment of the Council; one significant figure within officials dealing with my own particular neighbourhood remains "the enemy", but that is because she remains impervious to reason, despite being recently taken to court in which the circuit judge metaphorically used the unnamed official [Sophie Kendrick] to 'wipe the floor'. I am not the aggressor - so where is the evidence? 3) Regarding the "repetitive" nature of my complaints, problems remain because of the Council's corrupt and intransigent nature - speaking truth to power is difficult in any society, but the main reason I've chosen to challenge British officials (nationally and locally) is that they run such a dive, continuing to dump, or allow to be dumped, waste junk all over the streets (including greenspaces) when a simple, inexpensive, additional wording in the contract would insist that contractors (or in-house operatives) take any 'leftovers' away (or to a local disposal point) at the 'end of day'; though I am a leaseholder, Council practices occasionally render my circumstances simply squalid. And despite running contrary to any tenancy agreement, in addition to common law, the Council still allows new neighbours, with no private run, to keep dogs! If I risk looking through my kitchen window, chewing a lunchtime sandwich, I might well witness my revolting new neighbour (at 161 High Street) toileting 'is equally revolting pet all over the daisies! Between myself and officials, just who, do you seriously think, suffers the most stress? David Austin 162 High Street Lye Village, Stourbridge DY9 8LT From: Executive Response (Executive.Response@dudley.gov.uk) Date: 06/12/26 12:01 To: mail@dwaustin.net Subject: Contact with DMBC Dear Mr Austin We are aware that you contact Dudley Council regularly to raise numerous complaints. The council does take service requests and complaints very seriously. However, your approach of trying to engage in frequent, lengthy, complicated, and stressful contact with the local authority staff or Councillors has become unreasonable.  Your contact is deemed vexatious due to their frequency and repetitive nature. On this basis we will deal with your enquiries strictly through our Executive Residents Response Team via this email address. Attempts to approach the Council through different routes in the hope of receiving a different response will not be tolerated. Anything raised through other channels will be routed straight to this inbox. Any genuine service requests will be filtered out to service areas accordingly. Anything deemed repetitive or vexatious will be rapidly closed. For further information, please find attached a copy of the corporate complaints policy with details how enquiries from customers deemed as persistent and vexatious complainants are handled. Should you have any queries please respond by reply. Regards, Executive Residents Response Group Dudley Council www.dudley.gov.uk
